Goshawk— Burke County, Georgia

 Dec. 23 2021 — Whatbird.com. Title— One more raptor.

By HamRHead from Burke County,Georgia.

Nelson says—This bird-accipiter is not a Cooper’s Hawk. The robust, bulky accipiter appears to be NG. The belly and chest is clear or clean— therefore, not a SSHA, also not a COHA. Go by the bird—not the range map not the bar graph. NB. I will contact the Georgia Records Committee and the Georgia falconers. This will give you an idea of how committed I am to draw an understanding toward the idea that Goshawks are a common species in many areas of the United States. NB. Anacortes,Wa.
