It does not surprise me that a NG was photographed near Seattle. On WA Tweeters birding list serve, someone wanted to know if the photographs of this accipiter were of a NG. The photos were placed on flicker. It appears to me the photos certainly lean toward NG. I will just point out a few indications. The accipiter is chunky and appears to have no waist. No waist will contribute toward looking chunky. Now the big question is, might this hawk be a Sharpie? So now we must question the observer. What was the size of the bird?!
